Longboarding, Canadian Guitar Festival, etc.

Sleeping in very late results in midnight Blogging.

I have been home now for a little over a week, and let me tell you, it's been quite eventful. I spent my first day back home longboarding with Harrison around Kitchener. It was a beautiful day, and we ended up downtown in the mid-afternoon. As we were riding through Victoria Park, I lost control of my board and hit my head severely on the pavement. I had to go to the ER, and spent the rest of my day / night there, being kept under watch. They let me go at around 10:30, and I spent the rest of the week recovering. It's funny how things turn out sometimes. I was really disappointed in myself, especially because it was my first day back home. All I wanted to do was spend my summer days longboarding, and getting better at it. I now have to put my longboarding on hold, and I'm not sure how long it will be before I can get back on one again.

On a more positive note, I spent this past weekend at the Canadian Guitar Festival with my dad and my friend Zach, and we had an incredible time. We got to see a ton of talented fingerstyle players perform. The shows were unbelievable, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere couldn't have been more perfect. Everyone was so nice, and we got the chance to meet and talk to so many great people. Congratulations to Calum Graham, who won first place in the Fingerstyle Competition!

Now that I'm back home again, I've started getting ready to paint my room. It's time for a change! Right now, my room is a bright Sunshine Yellow. I still haven't decided what the new colour will be, but I'm leaning towards some sort of blue. Hopefully I'll have the paint colour picked out by this Wednesday, so we can get started. Simona wants to come over and take part in the painting adventure, so that should be fun. Updates and photos coming soon.

Anyway, It's quite late, and I really should get some sleep.
I'll be sure to keep blogging this summer!
Goodnight:)

At the Guitar Festival, after Calum's big win.
