This is Alley,
my beautiful partner. Although, it doesn't look completely like her, haha. But a pretty solid first attempt. I would love to revisit clay busts again for sure.
The finish
is acrylic paint, layered from raw umber to unbleached titanium white. After painting on the layers, I sanded the entire bust down, to bring out the underlying brown, and the natural white of the clay.
